Evening cooling demand kept the system firm, but the renewable shoulder widened before sunset.
Yesterday's grid ran close to its summer posture, with demand holding above 218 GW through the evening shoulder and the national peak arriving after solar output had already faded. The useful signal was not the peak alone, but the duration: system operators carried a firm plateau for nearly 3 hours.
