India Energy Atlas is operated by Council for Independent Frontier Research (CIFR), an independent, non-profit think tank and research organisation registered as a Section 8 company under the Companies Act of India. All revenues are directed back to research funding — we have no investor interests and no commercial agenda.
We are a small team of committed individuals with pedigree from top institutes and Fortune 500 companies, united by a single ambition: to do great work for the Indian power sector.
We believe that better information creates better outcomes — for policymakers, utilities, developers, researchers, and citizens alike.
